How to Run Multiple Google talk instances with Multiple accounts

Most of us have multiple gmail accounts and want to log in to Google talk  ( which is popularly known as Gtalk) at a time , But gtalk only allows us to run with one gmail account at a time .

Here are the list of ways to run Multiple Google talk instances or log in to G talk with multiple gmail accounts

1.)Login to gmail with one user name in Firefox and with other user name in Internet Explorer or any other browser

2.)Use meebo.com

3.) This option is the best one and simple to use which is my choice

First find the shortcut key for Gtalk on your desktop ( or some where else in your computer) Open the properties of the Shortcut key of Gtalk by your mouse right click and in the target box type /nomutex at the end of the path  “C:\Program Files\Google\Google Talk\googletalk.exe”

Dont forgot to give space before /nomutex like this “C:\Program Files\Google\Google Talk\googletalk.exe” /nomutex

Now you can run multiple instances of Gtalk with multiple accounts

How to use Normal Yahoo messenger as Multi Messenger

Do you have multiple yahoo accounts and want to Sign in to yahoo messenger with different accounts at a time , then here is a simple windows registry hack  which can change normal yahoo messenger in to multiple yahoo messenger

First open your run command.

type regedit
expand HKEY_CURRENT USER > SOFTWARE>YAHOO>PAGER> AND TEST

ON RIGHT SIDE
MAKE A NEW STRING IN TEST

NAME IT “PLURAL”

DOUBLE CLICK PLURAL

SET VALUE TO “0″

CLOSE REGEDIT.

Now you can run multiple instances of yahoo messenger with different accounts with out downloading yahoo multi messenger 8.0 software

How to Remove Your Start Button?

Redhat Linux has cute hat for the start menu so the vista having a simple and small windows logo. But its not the case with the start menu in Windows XP and its previous versions. If you think that you could save some space by moving off your start menu then this application is for you. How to add Items to the Start Button using Regedit?

Step1: First click on Start button then type Regedit in Run option.

Step2:In Registry Editor go to left hand panel, and find HKey_Classes_Root / Directory / Shell

Step4:Now Right click on that key and give the full path of that program you are interested to add in start button. For example if you want to add MS excel, then full path may be C:\program file\msoffice\msexcel.EXE.

How to access Yahoo Mail using Microsoft Outlook

Microsoft Outlook will provide users to integrate different email accounts like Gmail, Hotmail and can integrate email accounts whose providers can provide SMTP and POP access. But Yahoo mail provider does not provide these free services for their users with free email account.
Yahoo does not provide SMTP and POP services to their premium users who are using Yahoo mail plus although it is a paid subscription.
So, This post is for Yahoo premium users who cannot access their email accounts from Microsoft Outlook Express.

How to access Yahoo Mail using Microsoft Outlook.

You have to download an application called YPOPs. YPOPs is an application software that allows POP3 and SMTP access to yahoo mail.It acts as a gateway between Microsoft Outlook and Yahoo Mail. You can download this application from sourceforge.

Step 2 to access Yahoo mail using Microsoft Outlook.

Install this application (POPs) on your system. While installing keep default settings, this is a good way.But you can customize the settings in the following way.

• Go to Receiving Email, Under download category select UNREAD. This will download only the unread emails from your yahoo mail.
• Go to Sending Email, check Save email in Yahoo’s Sent Items Folder.
• In Miscellaneous, it is very good to check Automatically start YPOPs! when Windows starts, so that Ypops will starts automatically when your windows starts

The 3rd step is to Configure Microsoft Outlook to access Yahoo! Mail

At last you should configure your Outlook Express . Here how you should configure.

• If you are using Microsoft Outlook express 2003, then go to TOOLS -> Email accounts -> Add new email account, Click NEXT ,Check POP3 and click NEXT.
• If you are using Microsoft Outlook Express 2007, TOOLS->Account settings -> under Email click NEW -> Add a new email account, Select these;Microsoft Exchange, POP3, IMAP, or HTTP.
  Under Add new email account check Manually configure server settings and additional server types.
• Then follow the procedure like Name, email address
• But under Incoming mail server i.e, POP3 to local host, If it does not work then use 127.0.0.1.
• Under Outgoing mail server i.e, SMTP type local host or 127.0.0.1.
• Type your user name (like ram123 for email address like ram123@yahoo.com) and password and check remember me
• Next go to SETTINGS , click on Outgoing server tab and check My outgoing server i.e,SMTP requires authentication.
• Ok->Finish
