mChek: Mobile Payment System

Forget the long queues and hours of waiting to pay off your bills or for the banking transactions, its all getting mobile. Even though we have been hearing the term Mobile Banking and Mobile Bill Payment Systems since 2006. But at those times these mobile based transactions where SMS based which lacked simplicity and security.
Now a startup had launched a product ‘mChek’ in collaboration with Airtel which had redefined the way mobile transactions are handled. mCheck offers the following services.
- Recharge your Mobile
- Pay your Bills
- Transfer Money
- Book your flight tickets SMS “FLY <FROM CITY> <TO CITY> <DDMM>” to 543219 (only for Airtel)
- Book your movie tickets SMS “MOVIE <LANGUAGE> <DD> <NO OF TICKETS>” to 543219 (only on Airtel)
- Book your Bus tickets on RedBus SMS “REDBUS <FROM> <TO> <DDMM>” to 543219 (only on Airtel)
The all the services are available as SMS based services for non java phones and the first three services can be used via an mChek Application supporting the java phones. The service for now is only available in Airtel and the company hope to add more. mChek has conquered the websphere too, as most of the online merchants such as Sify, Indiatimes, FutureBazaar have been have registered themselves to mChek.
The Company claims that mChek is the most secure mobile payment system existent in the country, because
- mChek is an easy, secure, mobile payment technology that has won the most stringent industry certifications like PCI DSS 2.0 and ISO 27001.
- The mChek product was voted the “Most Innovative Mobile Customer Care Solution” by the GSMA (The Global Mobile(GSM) Phone Association). More than a Lakh users are using mChek now.
