Athlon 64 2000+ At 8-watts Outperforms Atom

AMD and Intel the two great chip manufactures has been in their pursuit to provide the fastest and the efficient processors to the industry. Despite several innovations AMD and Intel shouldering for some duration, Intel with its multi cores led the race. But now its AMD keeping on track to get on to the customer in a greener approach that is in terms of energy consumption.

Now as most of the companies are going for greener approach to their technologies, AMD is to have an advantage over the rival Intel. The Toms’ Hardware Test results between Intel 1.6GHz Atom 230 processor against AMD Athlon 64 2000+ claims that Athlon managed to outperform Atom both in terms of energy consumption and processing power. And hence claims that AMD is economical, faster and greener. So lets hope for more greener computing with AMD.
