But for those who cannot afford those lappy’s they too can have access to their personal computer even when away from the PC with Virtual Network Computing (VNC). VNC is a remote client software which allows you to access your remote PC from any other PC. This can also be helpful in performing remote troubleshooting on your computer that is a technician need not ride down to you to fix your computer, he just can do this remotely.VNC has a wide range of applications including system administration, IT support and helpdesks. A similar type of application is RealVNC which is freeware and runs on Windows 98/2000/XP. When you log on to the remote PC you can have the entire remote desktop bridged on to your PC and you are able to work as working on your personal PC. All you have to do is to run a Server Software on the remote computer and configure a Viewer Software on the accessing PC and its all done. While initializing the viewer software it requests for IP address and password, and once the user is validated then he is given access to the PC via the remote desktop on his PC.
