As always its the perception matters so I not ranking those freewares but just enlisting the top few. So kindly dont evaluate it as any benchmark for performance of those free apps.

Its not been a smooth journey for the Apple to settle all those issues of the users getting activated their iPhones etc which had drastically slowed the iPhone3G pace. But now its the time to for another fancy and utility attachments for your gadget, Apple had introduced a new application which leverages your iPhone or iPod into a hard drive and is available at the AppStores. Apple claims to have the iPhones and iPods able to stream audio and video via DataCase. Wondered! Its true DataCase transforms your peppy Apple Gadget into wireless harddrive that can be accessed through WiFi.
So how this works, its just a form of WiFi enable network Hard Drive. It consists of the Drop Box which is a write only directory used only for passive reading and the Shared Files directory enables both reading and writing of data. And unlike other variants, DataCase need not require any applications to installed prior to the operation. So wondered about the cost, DataCase will cost you $6.99 but very well not sure as the $199 game of iPhone3G did not even work at single place of its launch. Lets hope to have the DataCase for atleast $10 and not for $100.

Saving web pages, even though I have been using computers for a decade I still double check whenever it comes to saving the web pages. Because most of the time I save I certainly miss out certain elements of the page such as images.. And had thought of having an option to save the web page as PDF. As its really damn easy to maintain the PDF files rather than simply rechecking for the web page elements.
Hope my prayers have realized with new firefox extension PDFit. PDFit allows to convert any web page into an image file and then converting it to PDF via an online service touchPDF.PDFit allows the conversion of full pages or screen area pages to PDF or image file.
As you install the extension on the firefox, right click on any page and select the conversion of full web page or conversion of visible area. The extension can also be triggered with the shortcut keys a combination of Alt and number keys.
TouchPDF illustrates the following features of PDFit
- Convert current page(Whole Page or Visible Part) to Image(PNG or JPEG)
- Add title to generated image (Firefox 3 only)
- Specify the color/position/font size for title
- Apply up to 16 filters while converting page to Image
- Convert the generated image to PDF file via online service provided by TouchPDF
PDFit is surely be gonna be a popular firefox extension and hope this feature is included in the Firefox 4.
