LG has announced the release of its new secret phones that come in two colors-Titan Gold and Ruby Violet. They are equipped with timeless and elegant designs. Tempered glass and Carbon Fibre give it the stylised and finished look. The new secret phones have adopted many advanced features such as ISO 800, 5MP camera with face detection and image stabilization and also have a capability of video recording at 128 Frames/second.

Only the Titan Gold model will be available in the Asia Market, while the Ruby Violet will be sent to European markets. Not much chance of LG remaining in the corporate race, but it has shown that it can surely thrive in the economy segment. Suggested price of these secret phones will be around 690,000 KRW.

Sony Ericcson R300i is an FM and AM oriented phone. It is actually a ‘Made in India’ (Desi) phone that has volume boosters that bring about noise clarity in noisy environments. This is for those FM freaks and guys who cannot miss the match even while travelling.

Dont worry, the R300 is GPRS enabled, although it comes with a hoard of features that is dedicated only to FM/AM clarity like monospeaker, radio dedicated keys, recording functionality and TRACK ID, etc. It has only about 8MB of memory, thus the song list is small, keeping just enough space for ringtones.

The phone has Java MIDP 2.0 and WAP 2.0 XHTML, bluetooth, a 1.8 inch screen and 128*160pixels screen. It has about 400 hrs of standby time and about 9 hours of talk-time, and upto two hours of FM/AM radio listening. It also incorporates a 0.3 MP camera, too bad.

It is available in antique copper and steel black color options, and it priced near Rs. 3.9k-4.5k.

Nokia and other mobile handset manufactures are striving hard to get on with iPhone3G with a huge set of features and facilities that the iPhone had not provided. Nokia Beta Labs is up with a software LifeviNe and will be soon laucnhed which will get your tracked as you moved along in life. You can also access the pictures, music and video of wherever you’ve been, either on a map or a time line. After you install it you will need to run lifeviNe widget on your device and it’ll pinpoint every image, video and music to a location. You can also put in the videos and share with others.

According to Nokia Conversation, The new app is based on Sports Tracker, which has been a huge hit since it launched out of Beta Labs last year. Although they share the same base architecture, the two apps look and feel completely different. Once running, you can use your device as you normally would, or keep an eye on your activity using the lifeviNe app.

As well as tagging all your media’s locations the app will also track where you’ve been (so you need to be careful when you have it switched on!), and plot your journey on the web based map when you sync it at the end of the day. Uploading is a cinch too, as lifeviNe can be set to automatically upload whenever you’re in a trusted wireless zone.

Online you can look at and share your journeys, filtering by user, place or time. There’s also an online widget which you can place on your blog or Facebook page, allowing others to see what you’ve been up to.

We’re told we should see lifeviNe in Beta form within a few weeks, and I personally can’t wait to try it out. Fusing the web and your device like this is a pretty cool concept and from what we’ve seen this app looks stunning, and pretty easy to use.

You can get more of that from here and from Nokia

Sony Ericsson had recently announced the slim and elegant T700 as new avatar for its slim-line lineup. T700 with just 10mm thin, its packed with 3.2-megapixel camera, 2-inch display, stereo speakers, and a 512MB memory card out-of-box. Its really hard to take your eyes off from the T700 with the vibrant colors like black on silver, black on red, and shining silver.

Even though the T700 does not have a Walkman branding it really does justice to music as well with Bluetooth Stereo (A2DP) support and a color matched headset. Furthermore, the Sony Ericsson T700 offers the Access NetFront web browser, Microsoft Exchange ActiveSync support, geo tagging of photos and Google Maps. But the camera functionality is what T700 lacks as it does not have Xenon Flash and auto focus. The T700 offers just the basic set of camera functions along with the self portrait mirror. T700 claims to have a talk time of 4.5 hours of 3G talk time and supports GSM/EDGE 850/900/1800/1900 MHz networks and European HSDPA 2100 MHz networks. Sony Ericsson T700 is expected to be in the markets by October.

For Apple its an endurance test to sustain the iPhone 3G in the market even more, because even before the initial orders of iPhone 3G are delivered, many started experiencing problems like call drop, reception issues etc. The so called privileged users of the iPhone 3G who just had dreamt of $200 gadget had costed them a triple of what the CEO of Apple Steve Jobs had promised. And its now the Business Week that had reported that Apple is finally out with the fix for all those issues but the only thing is that the users would have to endure the troubles till September to let on their devices to test the new fixes.

Reports say that the call drops occur when the iPhone3G switches from faster to slower networks that is while switching from an EDGE or GPRS network to 3G. The issue revolves around the coding on an Infineon chip with in the phone. The company claims that its confident of sorting out the problems and hence avoiding a Product Recall as its not that easy to service and recall all the millions of devices sold. And after all the reputation Apple gained from all the iPhone3G and the ex-iPhone would get on the earth. And its all the time factor thats going to determine the iPhone3G sales.

As the iGadgets have peacefully strolled through the “D day” attracting a millions of users to have a first glimpse of their very own iPhone3G. Its not been a smooth journey for the Apple to settle all those issues of the users getting activated their iPhones etc which had drastically slowed the iPhone3G pace. But now its the time to for another fancy and utility attachments for your gadget, Apple had introduced a new application which leverages your iPhone or iPod into a hard drive and is available at the AppStores. Apple claims to have the iPhones and iPods able to stream audio and video via DataCase. Wondered! Its true DataCase transforms your peppy Apple Gadget into wireless harddrive that can be accessed through WiFi.

So how this works, its just a form of WiFi enable network Hard Drive. It consists of the Drop Box which is a write only directory used only for passive reading and the Shared Files directory enables both reading and writing of data. And unlike other variants, DataCase need not require any applications to installed prior to the operation. So wondered about the cost, DataCase will cost you $6.99 but very well not sure as the $199 game of iPhone3G did not even work at single place of its launch. Lets hope to have the DataCase for atleast $10 and not for $100.
