Disable the Automatic Reboot after Windows Update, for Windows XP Pro users

By following these steps your operating system will wait for user restart instead of restarting automatically.

• Launch RUN command in START menu (short cut as +R), Type gpedit.msc and hit enter.
• This will launch Group Policy Editor
• On left hand side you will find LOCAL COMPUTER POLICY, In this go to COMPUTER CONFIGURATION
• click ADMINISTRATIVE TEMPLATES, then go to WINDOWS COMPONENTS and click on WINDOWS UPDATE.
• You will see No auto-restart for scheduled Automatic Updates installations, Double click on it a new window will open, Click on SETTINGS tab, check ENABLE then press OK.
• Close the Group policy editor

If you are a window Home user the procedure will be different since there would be no Group policy.

Disable Automatic Reboot after Windows Update for Windows XP Home users

• Go to Run (Windows+R), type regedit (registry editor), Hit enter.
• Navigate to
  HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE \Software\Policies \Microsoft\Windows \WindowsUpdate\AU.
• Change “NoAutoRebootWithLoggedOnUsers” DWord value to 1. This will disable the Reboot
• hit enter

How to Restore the Deleted files in windows

In our PC we do lot of work daily  and we are deleting some files which are useless. if we deleted some file which is important by mistake , now we can try out the freeware restoration for

How to access Yahoo Mail using Microsoft Outlook

Microsoft Outlook will provide users to integrate different email accounts like Gmail, Hotmail and can integrate email accounts whose providers can provide SMTP and POP access. But Yahoo mail provider does not provide these free services for their users with free email account.
Yahoo does not provide SMTP and POP services to their premium users who are using Yahoo mail plus although it is a paid subscription.

How to access Yahoo Mail using Microsoft Outlook.

You have to download an application called YPOPs. YPOPs is an application software that allows POP3 and SMTP access to yahoo mail.It acts as a gateway between Microsoft Outlook and Yahoo Mail. You can download this application from sourceforge.

Step 2 to access Yahoo mail using Microsoft Outlook.

Install this application (POPs) on your system. While installing keep default settings, this is a good way.But you can customize the settings in the following way.

• Go to Receiving Email, Under download category select UNREAD. This will download only the unread emails from your yahoo mail.
• Go to Sending Email, check Save email in Yahoo’s Sent Items Folder.
• In Miscellaneous, it is very good to check Automatically start YPOPs! when Windows starts, so that Ypops will starts automatically when your windows starts

The 3rd step is to Configure Microsoft Outlook to access Yahoo! Mail

At last you should configure your Outlook Express . Here how you should configure.

• If you are using Microsoft Outlook express 2003, then go to TOOLS -> Email accounts -> Add new email account, Click NEXT ,Check POP3 and click NEXT.
• If you are using Microsoft Outlook Express 2007, TOOLS->Account settings -> under Email click NEW -> Add a new email account, Select these;Microsoft Exchange, POP3, IMAP, or HTTP.
  Under Add new email account check Manually configure server settings and additional server types.
• Then follow the procedure like Name, email address
• But under Incoming mail server i.e, POP3 to local host, If it does not work then use 127.0.0.1.
• Under Outgoing mail server i.e, SMTP type local host or 127.0.0.1.
• Type your user name (like ram123 for email address like ram123@yahoo.com) and password and check remember me
• Next go to SETTINGS , click on Outgoing server tab and check My outgoing server i.e,SMTP requires authentication.
• Ok->Finish

Ready to use yahoo mail with outlook express.

How to Login Windows XP without a password

Windows XP one of the greatest hit of Microsoft. Microsoft plan to shutdown the service of XP in order to popularize Vista was rebelled by most of the users as XP had been their favorite and flashy Vista could never replace Windows XP. Long Live Windows XP.

Most of them get themselves in trouble by forgetting  the login password for windows and finally end up with formatting the machine loosing their precious data. But now you are never let to loose the data anymore just due to login issues. Here is the solution to log on to XP without password.

DreamPackPL is a software that allows you to log on into any local account without reset existing passwords, it just turns off the password validation process and allows executing programs at the logon desktop with system privileges. And if you are to logon to a non existing account you are allowed to execute any application from the logon screen and easily create a new account and allocate previlages to it.

DreamPackPL is basically of disabling the Windows File Protection mechanism where you are able to by pass the password validation process. It consists of a configurable command interpreter in logon window and works in three modes standard with password, with wrong password and wrong hash, with given hash. All the logons are logged with the date,time,user name and password.

So How to Login Windowds XP without a Password? [ How to bypass windows XP }

1. Download the ISO file (4Mb) and DreamPackPL (74KB) and Burn it to a CD.
2. Restart the System and Enter the BIOS Configuration, set the first boot device as CD/DVD and save & exit BIOS Configuration.
3. As it boots with CD, User must load system in Recovery Console, so press R to continue and install DreamPackPL and Press C to install DreamPackPL by using Recovery Console.
4. Select the Windows XP installation that is to be logged on
5. Input any random password when you are prompted for Administrator Password.
6. Make a backup of the original sfcfiles.dll by using the following command:                                                                                                                                             ren C:\Windows\System32\sfcfiles.dll sfcfiles.lld
7. Copy the patched sfcfiles.dll file from the CD to \Windows\System32 (or \WinNT\System32 depending on your Windows installation) folder by using following command (CD drive in this example is D, change according to your CD drive letter. You can use “map” command to display all drive letters):
   copy D:\i386\pinball.ex_ C:\Windows\System32\sfcfiles.dll
8. Exit from the Recovery Console by typing “Exit” and Restart the PC and let the Windows Boot.
9. At the Windows logon screen “dreamon” DreamPackPL command (without quotes) in the user name or password field to display the DreamPackPL menu.
10. Click on the top graphic on the DreamPackPL menu to display the commands options and configuration menu.
11. Navigate to Command and click on Command Setting options.
12. Enable the God-Password setting by selecting (check) the tick box at the end.
13. Exit from all DreamPackPL and type “god” in the user name or password field on Windows Logon screen to log on into Windows, bypassing all users or administrator account password.
14. Another option is to navigate to Password at DreamPackPL commands settings menu and select (check) the “Logon with wrong password and hash” option, which allows user to log-in into Windows using any administrator or user account with any correct or wrong password.
