Even though we had our hands on the Microsoft Windows XP for a couple of years, still being the most successful Microsoft product. There are some of the hidden treasures that are still in dark. So we at TechBrave is to unveil those hidden treasures of WindowsXP to our valuable readers.

Get ready for those hidden XP features

 

1. Private Character Editor

Using Private Character Editor (PCE), you can create up to 6,400 unique characters (such as special letters and logos) for use in your font library. PCE contains basic tools for creating and editing characters, along with more advanced options.

Basically PCE is used for editing fonts.You can access PCE from Start->Run and type eudcedit.

2. Media Player 5.1

You may be using the latest version of Windows Media Player but still at some point of time you would like to have the old player due to some failure in the new one or your likeness for a less complex one then you are free to use Media Player 5.1. This can be accessed from Start->Run and type mplay32.

3.iExpress

I too had wondered wether such a application ever existed in XP. And had spent hours searching for a free setup creator application. iExpress can be used for creating Setup installers. iExpress can be initiated from Start->Run and type iexpress.

 

4.Dr.Watson

Dr. Watson for Windows is a program error debugger or in basic terms its an inherent windows repairing tool. The information obtained and logged by Dr. Watson is the information needed by technical support groups to diagnose a program error for a computer running Windows. To start Dr. Watson, click Start, click Run, and then type drwtsn32.
